Investment Analyst

Join SPILNO Advisory as an Analyst to support the preparation and evaluation of PPP and public investment projects. You’ll work with financial models, data analysis, and market research, contributing to real infrastructure transactions and policy reforms that drive Ukraine’s recovery.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or economics
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in transaction advisory, corporate finance, investment banking, or consulting
  • Advanced English is a must to work with multicultural advisers and government officials
  • Strong skills in financial modeling using Microsoft Excel and ability to identify key issues and develop financial models from scratch
  • Understanding of the CBA and economic analysis, risk assessment, and allocation would be a plus
  • Strong skills in making MS PowerPoint presentations, information notes, and ability to present ideas clearly and confidently
  • Good knowledge of the infrastructure sector would be a plus
Responsibilities
  • Consolidate and analyze the information of the target companies
  • Conduct industry and market research
  • Draft reports, memos, financial models, and other deliverables to the client
  • Review the deliverables from external consultants and provide necessary amendments
  • Prepare presentations and information notes for key stakeholders
  • Provide institutional support in the preparation and structuring of PPP transactions
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure communication in order to collect and analyze information, deal with key issues, etc.
  • Participate in negotiations, meetings, discussions, public events, etc.
  • Coordinate the preparation process with all stakeholders involved

Lawyer

As a Legal Counsel, you’ll advise on PPP and concession projects, drafting and reviewing legal and tender documentation. The role offers the opportunity to apply legal expertise to major infrastructure initiatives and contribute to building a transparent, modern PPP framework in Ukraine.

Requirements
  • Higher education in Law from a reputable Ukrainian university
  • 2+ consecutive years of relevant professional experience
  • Deep practical understanding of civil, commercial, land, real estate law
  • Fluency in Ukrainian and English (at minimum, B2, both written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical abilities, outstanding drafting and presenting skills
  • Professional attitude with a strong sense of discretion
  • Excellent communication skills, persuasion, and negotiation
  • Strong organizational skills, result-oriented approach
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite
Responsibilities
  • Providing legal advice and guidance in implementing various PPP projects
  • Drafting, reviewing, and administering various legal documents, legal opinions, memorandums, etc.
  • Work closely with the team, communicating with external experts and stakeholders involved

Intern

We invite motivated students to join our team and contribute to real investment projects that support Ukraine’s recovery. This is a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in infrastructure advisory, work with IFIs and government stakeholders, and develop your professional skills.

Requirements
  • Previous work experience is not required — we welcome final-year students in law, economics, finance, or related fields
  • Strong motivation to contribute to Ukraine’s recovery and public investment reform
  • Curiosity, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to solving complex challenges
  • Research and information search skills; ability to work with English-language materials
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; ability to structure and present data clearly
  • Basic understanding of economic analysis, financial statements or legal framework
  • Advanced English and Ukrainian, excellent writing and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, combined with the ability to see the bigger picture
Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis. Summarise findings and prepare analytical notes, briefs, and presentations
  • Assist in preparing materials for ministries, government agencies, international financial institutions (IFIs), and investors

FAQ

Do I need previous work experience?

For internship roles — no. We welcome final-year students in law, economics, finance or related fields. For Analyst/Legal roles, prior experience is a requirement, but strong analytical and writing skills matter most.

What are the working languages?

Ukrainian and English. Most deliverables and research for IFIs require English. Strong writing in both languages is important.

Where are you based? Is remote work possible?

We are based in Kyiv with a hybrid setup. Remote collaboration across Ukraine is possible depending on the project and role.

What is the internship workload and duration?

Typically 15–25 hours/week for 3–6 months, with flexibility during exams. High-performing interns may receive a Junior offer.

How do you handle my personal data?

We use candidate data solely for recruitment in line with our Privacy Policy, and delete it after the process unless you consent to be considered for future roles.

Is the internship paid?

Yes, it’s a paid internship. Terms depend on workload and availability (part-time/full-time).

What skills are you looking for?

Strong research and writing, confident Excel/PowerPoint, attention to detail, and interest in PPPs, public investment and infrastructure. For Legal — excellent drafting and knowledge of PPP/procurement basics.
